Amazing, sorting through old photos and you run across something like this. To think that 41 years ago, 1973) when I made this exposure with my Nikormat, (film of course) ,at Kezar Stadium, that I would someday be sitting in Colorado at a computer fixing blemishes for 2 hours to prepare this image for this page. I have never printed this image.

Canada has many great songwriters. Here are 2 of their best, Fred Neal and Joni Mitchel. Along with Neil young, these are my personal favorites. Here Fred and Joni, working as a duo, are performing at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on Nov 20, 1976. They were part of the evening's music program for a "Save the Whales" Benefit. The best moments of the night were when Jaco Pastoris performed with Joni. (photos to come)
I saw Joni perform twice that week, a few days later i saw her again at the Last Waltz. You can see Last Waltz images at the Special events page. I will also be looking through those negatives again to find more images of that and other events.
